Jillian of J. Dubois Photo & Film seated on a stool in a red outfit.

Jillian came to Quicksite with a brand that did the basic job of showing that she photographed weddings, but not much else. Her work was already film-forward, editorial, wildly artistic and observant. The brand flattened all of that into something generic, leaving very little room for the perspective that actually made her work different.

At first, the creative direction leaned hard into the art. Minimal, museum-like, framed compositions, tiny informational notes. It made conceptual sense, but it didn’t feel like Jillian. She didn’t want her work placed behind glass. She wanted something intimate, personal and alive. That shift led to the idea that unlocked the rest of the brand: Curator of Eyes.

Jillian has always seen things a little differently. She notices the angle someone else misses, the quieter thing happening beside the obvious moment, the undertone of a room. Instead of sanding that perspective down into something more expected, the brand gave it somewhere to live. The goal became keeping Jillian unmistakably within the world of wedding photography while letting the strange, thoughtful, artistic parts of her work finally take up space.

The gallery concept survived, but its meaning changed. Instead of making Jillian’s work the exhibit, the brand became A Gallery of You. Her eye frames the experience, but the couple stays at the center. The result balances editorial structure with handwriting, eye imagery, film texture, unexpected compositions and quieter details that keep everything feeling human instead of precious.

J. Dubois Photo & Film now has a brand that can hold all of her work at once: film and digital, editorial and emotional, polished and strange, recognizable as wedding photography without looking like every other wedding photographer.

A Gallery of You.
